My Treatment Approach and Style

I specialize in helping people regain stability and confidence. I love working with people to figure out not just how to get rid of problems but to build a life that is fulfilling and joyful.

I am a health psychologist. I specialize in counseling for people in the Seattle area who are coping with health issues like trying to lose weight, manage diabetes, live with chronic pain, and recover from cancer. I also provide counseling and therapy for depression and anxiety.

Online Counseling or Skype Therapy in Washington

For people who live in rural areas of Washington State or have a hard time coming into an office for counseling sessions, I also provide therapy online via secure video.

Many people ask about using Skype for therapy. Skype video is not secure, but I use a very similar program to provide video therapy that is HIPAA compliant, protects your privacy, is free to you, and very easy to use.

I am committed to providing ethical therapy, no matter what type of technology is involved. I devote my attention and effort to each session equally, whether it's via telephone, video, or in-person in my Seattle office.

I do provide a discount for video and telephone sessions as I have lower costs for providing therapy that way. You can learn more about my fees and accepted insurances here.

I am passionate about making good, ethical, and science-backed information about mental health more accessible to everyone. My approach is firmly grounded in evidence-based practices. That means that when I suggest something, there is scientific research and evidence that it's been effective for helping other people with similar problems.
