Am I the Right Therapist For You?
Finding a therapist who is a good match to you in terms of style, personality, and approach is very important for good therapy!
Everyone has different preferences and needs. Before we begin working together, we can talk about your needs for therapy and my style and approach. I welcome your questions! If I am not the right person for you, I'll do what I can to help you get connected to someone who is a good match.

My Office Hours, Therapy Sessions Availability, and Fees
Phinney Ridge Office Hours
My office hours for in-person sessions at my therapy office in Phinney Ridge, Seattle are:
- Sundays, 10am to 7pm
- Mondays, 10am to 7pm
Update as of January 2021, I am holding only very limited sessions in office due to COVID19 pandemic. Most sessions are held through video.
Sessions via Secure HIPAA-compliant Video
Using video for therapy sessions has been a regular part of my practice since 2017. I understand that coming into an office each week is not ideal or possible for everyone. I aim to provide ethical therapy to people who can't come in to an office on a regular schedule. I give my full attention to each session and treat video sessions the same as I do in-person therapy.
Secure video sessions can be scheduled on:
- Sundays, 9am to 4pm
- Mondays, 10am to 6pm
- Tuesdays, 9am to 4pm
- Wednesdays, 10am to 6pm
- Thursdays, 10am to 4pm
Sessions via video can be scheduled in two time blocks; you are welcome to schedule either a 25 minute appointment or a 55 minute appointment.
The fees for sessions range from from $150 to $225 for a 55 minute session, and from $75 to $110 for a 25 minute session. Fees are agreed upon based on individual financial need and determined prior to starting therapy. Payment for sessions can be arranged by check or credit card.
Insurance Information and Courtesy Billing
Please contact me if you would like to use your insurance for sessions.
Using your insurance will require me to provide a formal diagnosis for you during our work together, which I am happy to do at your request. If you decide to use insurance, your insurance company will also be able to request your treatment records and see information about your therapy. Your insurance may not cover treatment for certain mental health conditions.
I am credentialed as an in-network preferred provider with the following insurances in Washington State:
For all other insurances, visits are eligble for reimbursement through any insurance providers under "out of network" benefits. I can bill your insurance on your behalf. This is called "courtesy billing." If you'd like me to complete billing for you, I will ask you to complete a form and bring your insurance card to the first visit.
I have experience doing out-of-network billing for Regence, United, and Aetna insurance in Washington State.
I encourage you to call your insurance company to verify which types of services will be covered.
My office is located in the Phinney Ridge/Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle, in the Orion Center for Integrated Care building. There is free parking for clients in an off street lot. Free parking is available on the surrounding streets. The E line is 1 block away.
As of January 1, 2021, I am open to take new clients who are residents of Washington State via video. I am no longer requiring an in-person session for the first appointment.
People in the Seattle area including Edmonds, Everett, Shoreline, Lake City, Kirkland, Bellevue, and Redmond are welcome to come into the office for the first session, and to use any combination of in-person and video sessions for follow up sessions.
